Priorities

Establish CAE as a trusted, non-partisan, and strategic source of engineering expertise drawing on the unique knowledge of its Fellows, for public and institutional decision-makers

Increase public understanding of engineering’s role in addressing national challenges — such as climate action, productivity, entrepreneurship, and reconciliation— and inspire youth from diverse backgrounds to see engineering as a path to meaningful impact.

Leverage the voluntary expertise of Fellows to strengthen Canada’s innovation ecosystems, productivity, and global competitiveness.

Mobilize Fellowship expertise by creating multiple pathways for engagement–including advisory roles, mentorship, outreach, partnership development, and
ambassadorial activities — allowing members to contribute based on their expertise and availability.

Ensure CAE’s long-term sustainability and organizational capacity so it can continue to thrive, enable Fellows to contribute effectively, strengthen CAE’s public presence, and expand its impact.
