September 1 – A University of Toronto Engineering team, including Javad Mostaghimi, FCAE, and Mohini Sain, FCAE, are developing a new way to coat minute particles of copper onto the inside of fabrics, such as those used in face masks. August 11 – Sridhar (Sri) Krishnan, FCAE, Associate Dean of Research in Ryerson University’s Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, has developed a ‘covidascope’, an app that monitors COVID-19 health vitals.
