On March 7th, 2022, at 12:00 pm EDT, a virtual seminar on the topic of the Canadian Engineering Grand Challenges (CEGC) was hosted by the Canadian Academy of Engineering in partnership with National Engineering Month and Engineering Deans Canada.
This panel will focus on how the CEGCs came to be chosen as the lens through which Canadian engineering should view the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and what the CEGCs mean for education, research, and engineering practice in Canada. It will also discuss the role that current and future engineers and researchers will play in achieving these goals while contributing to the overarching task of climate change adaptation and mitigation.
