Dear Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE),
After 8 years of dedicated service to the CAE, our Executive Director Dr. Kevin Goheen is resigning effective June 12th, 2019. The Board and I received the news with mixed emotions.
Kevin’s commitment and steadfast work to position CAE as an effective organization to fulfill its mission, has been outstanding. We have relied heavily on Kevin for his expertise in working with a volunteer Board and his knowledge of the history and past practice of the CAE. We will greatly miss him.
On the other hand, we are very pleased for Kevin in that he will be taking on the role of CEO of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction. A link to the announcement of Kevin’s new position can be found here.
A Search Committee to secure a new Executive Director has been formed from members of the CAE Board and the pursuit of suitable individuals is underway. If you are, or you know of someone who is interested in taking on the Executive Director position, please contact me at eddyisaacsinc@gmail.com.
