From May 4-6, 2026, the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE), in partnership with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED, Government of Canada) and Carleton University, will host The CAE International Workshop on Future Networks to be held in Ottawa, Canada.

The workshop will include:

Monday, May 4: Global Coalition on Telecommunications (GCOT) closed meeting | Host: ISED

Tuesday, May 5: A full day of sessions on two main themes.

Wednesday, May 6: A full day of sessions on two main themes.

This event will bring together decision-makers in research, commercialization, and policy to advance a coherent national strategy aligned with global trends. The discussions in the workshop will result in a strategy and trends report.
